You should have the following details to hand:
- the parking ticket (begining ED or EH) or bus lane (begining EB) charge notice number
- your vehicle registration
- a valid credit or debit card.
Online
The simplest way to pay is online. You can also view any photos for parking tickets or a video for bus lane notices. You will be able to view them before you pay. These will be available one day later.

You can call our secure 24 hour service to pay by debit or credit card. We accept Mastercard, Visa, Maestro and Delta.

By post
Please take postage time into consideration when sending payments or correspondence for parking tickets and bus lane charge notices by post. Where possible, please use an alternative method, for example payments can be made on the web or over the phone (automated phone line) and you can challenge a parking ticket or bus lane charge notice online using our online case management system. Please write the parking ticket or bus lane charge number on the back of your cheque or postal order. For security reasons you should not send cash.
Please note that you must leave time for your payment to reach us and that items may be lost or delayed by post. If you would like a receipt please also enclose a stamped addressed envelope.
In person
You can pay using a credit or debit card at The City of Edinburgh Council Customer Hub, 249 High Street, Edinburgh, EH1 1YJ. Please note that we no longer accept cash payments.
Parking tickets and charge notices at Sheriff Officers
We can't accept payment if your parking ticket or charge notice has been passed to Sheriff Officers for collection. You must contact the relevant Sheriff Officers for payment options.

Lost ticket
If you have lost your parking ticket or bus lane charge number you can request this from us. Please note it will take us two working days to provide the lost ticket number.
