We are planning to redevelop a site within Craigmillar’s local centre on the south side of Niddrie Mains Road. The site is currently occupied by several small businesses and Tesco Express.
Our plans are to create a mixed-use development with new affordable homes above commercial premises.
This will link with the recent Seacole Square development and deliver around 125 new net zero carbon homes with a new frontage on Niddrie Mains Road.
The plans continue the wider regeneration of the local area, which has already created over 1,250 new homes alongside the new local office, schools, shops and green spaces.

We will be at Craigmillar Library on Tuesday 12 November between 3pm and 7pm to show proposals, discuss our ideas and listen to your views.

We will launch our consultation on Tuesday 12 November on the Consultation Hub, where you will be able to view proposals and share your comments online. We will add a link to the consultation on this page when it is live, so please check for updates from 12 November.
You will have until Friday 29 November to share your initial views. We will then review this feedback and undertake further engagement in early 2025.
