We are also looking at other roads where we may be able to make changes to improve bus priority on
- A90 Forth Road Bridge to Edinburgh city centre
- A8 and A89 which is being developed through the West Edinburgh Transport Improvement Programme
- A71 Livingston to Edinburgh
- A70 Balerno to Musselburgh
- A701 Straiton to Edinburgh
- A7 Sheriffhall to Edinburgh
- A1 and A199 Musselburgh and Tranent to Edinburgh
- the orbital route around the north of the city - Portobello to Gyle and Edinburgh Airport
- the orbital route around the south of the city - Royal Infirmary Edinburgh to Gyle and Edinburgh Airport
We are speaking with
- bus and coach operators
- neighbouring councils
- representatives from bus user groups
- emergency services.
We are developing the ideas for possible changes using the feedback. We will publish the ideas for changes in early 2023. We will include the information on these webpages.
