Respect Her Space

RespectHerSpace campaign

campaign poster with lady wearing a cycle hatThe #RespectHerSpace campaign continues to encourage everyone to be mindful of their presence and behaviour in public spaces to make everyone feel safer, particularly women and girls. In 2024 we focused on women’s safety while walking, wheeling and cycling throughout Edinburgh. Find out how we are creating more opportunities for people to walk, wheel or cycle in the city.

This brought together six performers to share their experience as women in both the public and private sphere, and the importance of the role that we all have to play in supporting women and girls to feel safer everywhere: at home, in public spaces, in school, in work and online.

The 2024 #RespectHerSpace campaign was generously supported by SEStran, and we were delighted to also welcome a new partner to our working group, Soroptimist International Edinburgh.
