This policy sets out expectations on staff with regard to safe caring when this involves the use of some form of restraint. The purpose of the policy is to improve the awareness of staff on what constitutes restraint and to ensure that staff comply with the law and best practice on this issue in order to promote the rights and safety of service users and the safety of staff and others.
