School holiday payments
All families awarded school grants get payments for lunches during school holidays.
We use the same payment details you give us on your application form, so tell us if they change.
We pay you £2.50 for each child, every day of the school holidays except weekends.
Payment amounts for the 2024/25 school year are
- £15.00 for the October 2024 mid-term break
- £27.50 for the Christmas 2024 holiday
- £12.50 for the February 2025 mid-term break
- £27.50 for the Easter 2025 holiday.
We pay you at least a week before the end of term.
We don’t backdate payments, so you’ll only get payments for any holidays after the date you apply.
February 2025 holiday payment
The February holiday payment was £15.00 per child. This included £12.50 for the holiday, and £2.50 for the school closures on 24 January because of Storm Éowyn.
Three schools were also closed on 27 January. Families received an extra £2.50 for children attending
- Craigmount High School
- Drummond Community High School
- Forrester High School.
