Standard panels should cover no more than 2/3 of the roof , if a greater area is used the green roof will not function as it should and it may have a negative impact on the energy produced by the panels.... As semi-transparent and other solar panel designs become more prevalent this proportion can change.... In relation to bird strike hazards photovoltaic roofs with panels set flush to the roof are preferable to those with panels set on stands which can attract roosting and nesting pigeons

Edinburgh Access Panel Edinburgh Access Panel are generally supportive of efforts to make more space for people walking and mobility aids.... RNIB RNIB Scotland collaborated with other organisations, including the Edinburgh Access Panel and Guide Dogs Scotland, to raise general concerns about the implementation of SfP measures.... Suggestions/comments: • consultation with disabled people and Access Panels should be proactive and meaningful engagement going forward • access to the kerb is crucial for disable people when travelling by bus, taxi, or community transport • successful consultation documents highly dependent ensuring consultation material are readily available in accessible formats.
