Coronation of His Majesty The King to be screened live in Princes Street Gardens
The Coronation of King Charles is a truly historic event and we’re proud to be joining in with screenings and services in towns and cities across the United Kingdom for those who wish to come together and celebrate the occasion.... The screening will take place outdoors, so we are advising those wishing to attend to plan ahead, dress for the weather, and bring plenty of water.... To mark HM The King's Coronation, communities and citizens have applied for street closures to celebrate this historic event.

Capital agrees new powers to regulate short term lets
When there is a lot of pressure on accommodation in the city such as during the summer festivals and major sporting events the Committee also agreed that temporary exemptions can be made for all short term lets for up to six weeks in any 12 month period.... are in addition to new planning legislation which allowed Edinburgh to become the first short term let control area in Scotland... This means that the change of use of an entire dwelling, that is not someone’s principal home, to a short-term let will require planning permission.

Council approves next steps for BioQuarter expansion
Billed as Edinburgh’s Health Innovation District, the planned expansion would see more space for research and healthcare innovation, commercial use, hotel, gym, retail and leisure – with the long-term vision for the site now including plans for residential housing.... We're delighted to be part of the BioQuarter project, a hugely exciting and cutting-edge development that will make a massive contribution to the ongoing regeneration of the South East of the city; creating a whole new community of 20,000 people, with access to a vibrant new public square to meet in and use for a whole range of services and events.... In 1997, The Scottish Government obtained planning permission for land in the Little France area of Edinburgh, approximately four miles from the City Centre.
