We’re standing with all Councillors in condemning Putin’s tyranny and plan to award the Freedom of the City of Edinburgh to the President of Ukraine and Mayor of Kyiv.... If the Government agrees, residential property owners letting out their entire property would need to apply for planning permission for a ‘change of use’.... is underway, with the specifications for future events shaped by the outcomes of the major independent survey we carried out last year.

Proposed new vision for Leith Walk/Halmyre Street
Councillors will consider the ‘Place Brief’ at the Planning Committee on Wednesday, 2 September, where they will be asked to approve it.... This was followed up in January 2020 with a number of drop-in events in local venues and an online consultation to provide people with the opportunity to have their say on the future of the area.... There will be further opportunities for the public and interested groups to give their views throughout the planning process.

Firstly, I want to thank all those who took the time to take part in the consultation – we had an excellent response and the views of people in Edinburgh will shape the future of these events.... The results are very encouraging but, as expected, respondents highlighted a range of issues that we will factor into our planning for future years.... Thanks to the feedback gathered earlier this year we’ll now be able to take people’s comments and ideas into account as we plan for next year, and beyond.
