With around 1,400 Consultation Hub submissions, over 1,500 people attending our events and a series of community workshops with local business, interest groups and community councils we have now processed over 8,000 individual pieces of feedback.... Proposed Policy and Code of Conduct for Public Processions
Under the Civic Government (Scotland) Act 1982, anyone organising a parade or procession in Scotland must notify the appropriate local authority and the police at least 28 days prior to the date of the event.... The proposed policy and code of conduct aim to provide organisers with a greater understanding of the Council’s expectations, and a clear and consistent approach for future event planning.

Survey respondents drawn to George Street designs
Bold plans for the transformation of Edinburgh’s historic George Street would encourage more people to visit the area, according to a public survey.... Participants also suggested how they would like to see the redesigned street's open spaces to be animated – preferences included public art, community events and small markets. ... Feedback so far has demonstrated that our plans will encourage people to do just that, as well as choosing to travel there by foot, bike or public transport.
