There are several types of loan available for people starting or running a business in Edinburgh.
Start Up Loan
The Start Up Loan is a UK Government funded scheme that helps people who have a viable business idea get the funding they need to start their own business.

East of Scotland Investment Fund
This is a match funded loan of up to £50,000 for businesses that have a commercially viable proposal but have not been able to raise all funding from the usual sources.
To be able to get a loan you will need to be:
- able to show a funding gap
- a limited company or limited liability partnership
- able to provide match funding from the private sector.
