Notification of temporary traffic lights on Easter Road and Bonnington Road
We will be installing temporary traffic lights on Easter Road and Bonnington Road with parking restrictions on Gordon Street.
UPDATE: The temporary traffic lights on Bonnington Road/Tennant Street and Easter Road were removed Thursday 13 May to aid traffic flow in and around the area. We still have works to complete in these areas which will mean that the temporary traffic lights will be reinstated on Monday 17 May and Wednesday 19 May respectively for approximately 2-3 days at each location.
Due to the complexity of the gas diversion works on Leith Walk as part of the project, there will be a requirement to install 4-way temporary traffic lights on Easter Road (including Academy Street and Tesco’s car park entrance) and 3-way temporary traffic lights on Bonnington Road at the Tennant Street junction. These will be in place from Monday 10 May 2021 for approximately ten days, localised parking will be restricted to accommodate the works and journey times in and around these areas may be increased as a result. Further parking restrictions will also be required on Gordon Street near the junction with Easter Road for the same duration.
