Wassailing with The Friends of Victoria Park and The Heart of Newhaven Community.
The Friends of Victoria Park and The Heart of Newhaven Community invite you to a Wassailing event on Twelfth Night in Victoria Park and finishing in the warmth of the Heart.
Singing will be led by members of the Newhaven Community Choir. They will sing wassailing songs to the apple trees to wish them a bountiful year, drink mulled apple juice, eat apple cakes and hear apple stories and it'll be the last chance to see the knitted Christmas tree. All ages welcome and free to attend.
Sunday 5 January from 2.30 to 4.30pm
2.30pm Meet at NW entrance to Victoria Park (by the orchard)
3.15pm Heart of Newhaven Garden
3.30pm refreshments (mulled drinks) under the knitted Christmas tree in the heart of Newhaven. Bring your own mug (we will provide the mulled apple juice).
