Our team
We are a skilled, multidisciplinary team which supports the Council in a variety of ways. From helping to protect Edinburgh’s most vulnerable citizens to delivering multi-million pound infrastructure projects, the range of work we deal with is second to none in Scotland.
We help key decision-makers fully understand their legal and risk options and work alongside them to deliver optimal outcomes for the city.
About our work
Legal Services has the following specialist teams:
- Commercial
- Litigation (including Childcare Law unit)
- Property & Planning
- Licensing
- Employment & Investigations
The team also has a role in other interesting aspects of council work, including oversight of the Council’s Whistleblowing Service and use of surveillance.
