Headings

Screenshot showing how to tag text as a heading in word

Headings must be tagged and nested properly. Never make something bold and large just so it looks like a heading. This will not be clear to assistive technologies. The PDF title is Heading 1, sub-titles are Heading 2 and so on.

Never make something Heading 3 before a Heading 1 for example. Check that your document is broken up into sections and that these sections have good descriptive titles.
