Environment:

You will serve as a pivotal technical resource within the regional team, with a strong foundation in developing outline interface schedules for building systems.

What might a day in this role look like?

You will demonstrate proficiency in establishing and overseeing process controls throughout the design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases. This includes:

• Implementing cost control processes to ensure adherence to project budgets
• Managing design and construction change processes, ensuring proper documentation and client agreement on deviations/non-compliance
• Effectively targeting and managing programme/resources
• Maintaining necessary management and record processes for compliance with Building Control.

What qualifications/skills are required?

The role requires adept client relationship management skills, enabling constructive critique of designs to streamline project phases. The candidate will engage clients throughout the construction process, developing training and familiarisation strategies to facilitate seamless handovers.

Furthermore, the candidate should provide innovative solutions to construction and operational challenges, possess detailed knowledge of commissioning processes, and foster strong relationships with trade contractors and civil construction teams. Mentoring of team members and effective knowledge transfer to non-technical staff are also vital aspects of this role.

Extensive proven experience working within the construction industry, including experience in a senior level role is essential.

Experience of building operations would be an advantage.
