CCWEL Update

Progress and next steps:

• We completed work to improve pavements on the south side of Roseburn Terrace, from Roseburn Gardens to Balbirnie Place
• Pavement widening is now underway on Roseburn Street
• Pavement widening and new Toucan Crossing on Russell Road will start on 30 June 2022.
• We’ve started building the cycleway on the north side of the A8 between Roseburn Street and Wester Coates Road. We will continue working on this stretch up to Magdala Crescent until the end of September 2022.
• Rosebery Crescent, Grosvenor Crescent and Lansdowne Crescent have all been resurfaced
• Work has started on the cycleway layout at the junction of Palmerston Place and the Crescents by St Marys Cathedral.
• We are resurfacing the driveway at Bishop Walk and have just started construction of the cycleways, road closure, zebra crossing and raised table on Manor Place.
• Work on Melville Street starts later in summer 2022.
• In autumn 2022 we will start work on the following locations:
  • Roseburn Terrace (north side)
  • Randolph Place / Queensferry Street
  • North St David Street
  • Queen Street
• In January 2023 we will start/ continue working on the following locations:
  • Haymarket Terrace
  • Randolph Place/ Queensferry Street
  • York Place

We are currently programmed to finish construction in late summer 2023.
