Progress update and plans for section two of the CCWEL
Works from Manor Place to Randolph Place
The works started in August to build two segregated cycleways on either side of Melville Street. In addition to providing safe cycle passage, the scheme includes improvements to calm traffic and improve the general streetscape in the area.
The works programme is shown in the map. Works will continue from now through to summer next year. The programme has been developed in such a way that we always allow for some parking in each area of the street as the works progress. In doing this we will work in smaller areas which will help to minimise general noise and disruption.
