UK Parliament Election 2024

Ways to vote - by proxy

If you know that you won't be able to get to the polling station on polling day, you can ask someone you trust to cast your vote on your behalf. This is called a proxy vote. The person casting your vote is often referred to as your proxy.

Your proxy can either go to your polling station to cast your vote or can apply to vote on your behalf by post known as a postal proxy.

The deadline for new proxy applications for this election is 5pm Wednesday 26 June 2024.

The deadline for postal proxy applications was 5pm Wednesday 19 June 2024.
