Things you can do to improve your wellbeing

There are things we do that make us feel energised and positive. We asked children in Edinburgh what are the things that help children have good wellbeing. They gave lots of good advice. Research has shown the things they suggested really do make a difference. Try some and see how it makes you feel.

Why it’s important to talk about your feelings

We spoke to children in Edinburgh about why they think it is important to speak to others about your feelings. It is important to talk to others especially when you are feeling sad, worried, angry or frustrated. It can be hard having difficult feelings and adults can often listen and help. If you do not feel you can speak to an adult at home or school you can also get support from Childline

Tips for when you’re feeling low

As well as talking to an adult you trust there are some other activities and strategies that can help people feel a bit better if they are feeling low or sad. It is normal to feel these emotions some of the time especially when something upsetting has happened. Adults are there to speak to you and support you. If you don’t feel you can speak to an adult at home or school you can also get support from Childline
