Garden waste collection

Register for 2024/2025 garden waste collections

Registration for 2024/2025 is now closed and will re-open on 3 December 2024.

The 2024/2025 service year runs from 4 November 2024 to 2 November 2025.

The easiest way to register is with an annual direct debit which automatically renews your subscription every year. The first payment will be taken within seven days of you registering and future payments will be taken on or shortly after 1 August each year.

You don't have to use myaccount, but you want to keep track of your subscription, you'll need to sign in or register with mygovscot myaccount. If you're not signed in at the time you register we can not add this to your account later.

By signing up you agree to our terms and conditions.

When you get to the pages to enter your direct debit details you'll have 10 minutes to complete the form so make sure you have your account and sort code details ready.

Annual direct debit payments will continue until you cancel your subscription or we have been unable to take payment. Find out how to easily cancel your direct debit. You can still register for one collection year with a single card payment, but you'll then need to register annually to continue receiving the service in future years.

If you move house you can transfer your permit.

Tenement addresses

If you live in a traditional tenement, with a numbering system like 1F1, 1F2, and so on, this is the format used when registering. The flat numbers follow the flow of the staircase for each floor. For example, 3F2 is 3rd floor, flat 2, which is the second flat from the stair.

Other ways to register

You can still register for one collection year with a single card payment. You will need to register every year to continue receiving the service in future years.
